Arrival Day
Greeting at the Mendoza airport if you have just arrived, or pick-up at your hotel if you are already in Mendoza. Your host and driver will offer you a short city tour if you choose, then you will drive south through Chacras de Coria and Lujan de Cuyo to the fertile wine region of Perdriel and Agrelo where you will visit Bodega Catena Zapata. Private tour and tasting. Catena is perhaps Argentina's most emblematic winery in terms of international sales and average price per bottle of wine. Five of their wines are on the current list of Top 50 Wines of South America. The magnificent design of the winery was inspired by the ancient temples of the Mayans.
A short drive to Bodega Ruca Malen for a tour, tasting, and private lunch overlooking their vineyards. During lunch you will learn about the special processes used to create some of Mendoza's best Malbecs.
A beautiful drive south along the Andes to Valle de Uco for check-in at Postales del Plata's Valle de Uco Lodge, a verdant finca and casually elegant country retreat. You will have time to relax, walk through the vineyards, take a swim, or enjoy a massage. Then savor oven-fresh tapas, followed by a scrumptious dinner with a fine selection of wines. Day 2
After breakfast, you will depart for Bodega Lurton for a tour of the winery and tasting.
Then drive up through the valley along the foothills of the Andes to Bodega Salentein for a visit and tasting. This winery is located at 4,000 feet with spectacular views of its fields and the glacier-capped mountains beyond. The marble-floored wine tasting room is one of the most spectacular anywhere, and surrounded by 5,000 oak barrels of aging wine.
Drive back to Mendoza City with drop-off at your hotel, or drop-off at the Mendoza International Airport. Time permitting, your host could take you to one of Mendoza's premiere shopping plazas, or take you .
