Your flight arrives at the Mendoza International Airport - collect your luggage in the baggage area, then you will be greeted by your host just outside the secure area. The host and your driver will escort you to your private vehicle. They can either take you by your hotel to check-in and freshen up (about a 15 minute drive), or you can go straight to the first winery on your itinerary.
Lunch, tour, and tasting at Bodega Lopez. Then depending on the time and your preferences, after you depart from Lopez you can visit another winery. For example: La Rural, Alta Vista, or LaGarde.
When the day's tours are completed, you will be driven back to your hotel, the Park Suites. This is a deluxe all-suites hotel just a block from Plaza Independencia. You will have time to relax, perhaps walk around the city, shop, get a massage, and get ready for dinner.
Your host will take you out to one of Mendoza's best restaurants this evening where you'll enjoy specially selected wines, or you can choose to go to dinner on your own. Overnight at Park Suites.
Day 2
Short drive to Chacras de Coria Lodge, a casually elegant Mediterranean-style lodge in Chacras de Coria. Check-in to your room. Take a siesta, lounge by the pool, enjoy a massage, or walk to the town square. Picadas in the wine bar, then dinner this evening will be in the lodge restaurant, with specialties ranging from fresh pasta, pollo, or chivito, to Argentine bife de chorizo, all accompanied by fine area wines. Overnight at Chacras Lodge.
Day 3
After breakfast, your host will take you to visit the nearby Catena Zapata Winery for a tour and tasting. The spectacular winery is a replica of a Mayan temple and five Catena wines rank in the top 50 wines of South America. Then you will continue south into the verdant Valle de Uco for check-in and lunch at Valle de Uco Lodge. After lunch you'll enjoy a tour and tasting at Bodega Salentein. This winery is located at 4,000 feet with spectacular views of its fields and the glacier-capped mountains beyond. The marble-floored wine tasting room is one of the most spectacular anywhere, and surrounded by 5,000 oak barrels of aging wine.Late afternoon you will drive back to Valle de Uco Lodge, in Colonias Las Rosas. This is a splendid country retreat overlooking Malbec vineyards and the glacier-capped Andes. Relax, take a swim in the pool, enjoy a massage, or walk through the vineyards and fruit orchards. Dinner this evening will be in the lodge dining room, or out on the verandah, and will be accompanied by the ideal selection of Valle de Uco wines. Overnight at Valle de Uco Lodge.
Day 4
Breakfast, then your host will escort you back to Mendoza International Airport and help you with your check-in for your departure.
Expenses
The approximate cost for this deluxe all-inclusive package, or your customized version of it, is $300 per person per day. This itinerary can also be customized with less expensive options, or with more deluxe options. Actual prices will be quoted based on the options you choose. Of course you can choose to continue your wine and adventure tour by traveling south with us to San Rafael, another valley oasis rich with vineyards, fruit orchards, and a variety of activities. Some of the best wineries in Mendoza province are located here, including Valentin Bianchi and Goyenechea.
Please Note : Postales del Plata will make every effort to take you to visit the wineries provided in your final itinerary, however, these are all working wineries that change or close visiting hours based on actual seasonal conditions. Often we are not notified of these closures until a day or two before they happen. If we are unable to take you to a winery or other location on your itinerary, we will rebook you to another winery or location that is appropriate. Also, the majority of wineries are closed on Sunday's--though some very good ones are open--so if one of your wine tour days falls on a Sunday, we will adjust your winery visits accordingly, or we can schedule differnet activities.
