Afterwards, you'll have the option of visiting another winery, La Rural and their wine museum, for example, or returning to town for an orientation city tour and afternoon coffee or tea. Your host will leave you at the hotel to relax early evening. Spa treatments can be arranged. Your host will pick you up at the hotel and take you to a private wine tasting for a sampling of the best Argentine wines, then out for a fine dinner in one of Mendoza's best restaurants. Here you can sample a variety of wines with the various courses of your meal. Overnight at Park Hyatt.
Day 2

Breakfast at the hotel, then a beautiful drive to Chacras de Coria, and a visit to Lagarde Winery. Dedicated to the production of fine wines, Largarde is a blend of old and new in a quality boutique winery.
After Lagarde, a visit and tasting at Terrazas de los Andes Winery. Located in the district of Perdriel, this area is considered of the best pedigree in terms of wine growing quality. Terrazas is the fine wines division of Moet & Chandon. You will be greeted by the Terrazas winemakers who will give you a tour of the winery, followed by a tasting.
The grand finish.....a short drive to the Chandon Winery. An orientation presentation and sparkling wine tasting, followed by a sumptuous private lunch. Afterwards, sated with great food and wine, you'll be driven back into the exclusive area of Chacras de Coria.
Check-in at Chacras de Coria Lodge, a charming upscale lodge. Take a siesta, lounge by the pool, or schedule an in-room massage. Tonight you will enjoy picadas in the wine bar or on the veranda, and then dine in the excellent Chacras restaurant, with a sampling of the areas best wines. Overnight at Chacras Lodge.
Day 3

After breakfast, a pleasant drive through the Agrelo wine country on your way to visit Bodega Catena Zapata. This is one of the most beautiful and striking wineries in the world; designed as a replica of a Mayan pyramid. You will take a tour of the winery and enjoy a private tasting in the elegant tasting room. 5 Catena wines rank in the top 50 wines of South America.
A short drive to the Dominio dek Plata Winery, home to renowned winemakers, Susana Balbo and Pedro Marchevsky. This is a small boutique winery is dedicated to the production of fine wines, with their top brands, the Susana Balbo Signature Series, and BenMarco, being premier wines exported to the United States. Susana Balbo's Malbecs, and the Benmarco Carbernet are amont the best varietals we've tasting in Argentina.
Late afternoon drive to the Ruca Malen Winery, a relatively new winery surrounded by vineyards, with spectacular unobstructed views of the Andes. Tour, tasting, and sumptuous lunch. OK, now you'll need a siesta back at the lodge to get ready for the evening ahead.
As an option, instead of another winery tour, we can arrange mountain biking, hiking, shopping, a tango lesson, or a relaxing massage.
This evening you will have picadas at the Chacras Lodge, then your host will take you to fine restaurant Chacras area restaurant....Terrunos in Bodega Tapiz, or perhaps Mar y Monte for fine seafood. Overnight at Chacras Lodge.
Day 4

After breakfast, a drive through the countryside to the splendid Uco Valley. This is a rural farming and vineyard area close to the Andes and ninety kilometers south of Mendoza City. Your destination is Estancia El Puesto. Here you will ride horseback in the mystic foothills to take in the awe-inspiring scenery.
After the ride, you'll enjoy a special Argentine asado (barbecue) with the snow-capped peaks of the Andes looking over your shoulder. The asado will include roasted lamb, various prime cuts of Argentine beef, a variety of sausages, empanadas, fresh salads and bread, and of course, a splendid selection of hearty wines.
(Note: As an option to horseback riding, other Valle de Uco wineries can be visited, including J&F Lurton, Andeluna, Altus, and O. Fournier.)
After lunch--A drive to the Salentein Winery, one of the most magnificent in Valle de Uco. Tour and private tasting.
Then a drive down along the Corredor Productivo to Postales del Plata's Valle de Uco Lodge, in the heart of the valley. Relax and settle into the lodge. Relax by the pool, have a drink on the veranda, or we can schedule an in-room massage. You can also take a walk through our vineyards and neighboring fruit orchards. Dinner at the lodge with a further sampling of fine Valle de Uco wines. Overnight at Valle de Uco Lodge.
Day 5

After breakfast you'll drive out through the foothill countryside to visit the Clos de Siete complex in Vista Flores. Clos de Siete includes the Monteviejo and Flecha de los Andes Wineries. This is one of Mendoza's most storied winery projects, with Michele Roland as the winemaking consultant. Here you will enjoy a tour and private lunch at Monteviejo, along with a tour and tasting.
After lunch you'll continue south through the Uco Valley to the O. Fournier Winery. This modern high tech winery is producing some of the best blends in South America. The A Crux Malbec, and A Crux blends are fabulous, but the B Crux---a blend of Tempranillo, Cabernt, and Malbec---is one of our all-time favorites. The scenery is awe-inspiring with the Andes as your backdrop, and the vist will be followed by a tasting and a leisurely lunch.
Return to Valle de Uco Lodge for an early evening cooking class, or to relax with picadas and your favorite Malbec around the pool. Special dinner with winemakers at the lodge followed by local music and dancing. Overnight at Valle de Uco Lodge.
Day 6
Breakfast, then your host will escort you back to Mendoza airport and help you with your VIP check-in for your departure. (Note: If you have an evening departure, more activities or winery visits can be scheduled this day.)
Expenses
The approximate cost for this VIP all-inclusive package, or your customized version of it, is $400 per person per day. This itinerary can also be customized with less expensive options. Actual prices will be quoted based on the options you choose. These are SAMPLE ITINERARIES and SAMPLE PRICES only.
You can choose to continue your wine and adventure tour by traveling south with us to San Rafael, another valley oasis rich with vineyards, fruit orchards, and a variety of activities. Top wineries here include Valentin Bianchi and Goyenechea.
Please Note : Postales del Plata will make every effort to take you to visit the wineries provided in your final itinerary, however, these are all working wineries that change or close visiting hours based on actual seasonal conditions. Often we are not notified of these closures until a day or two before they happen. If we are unable to take you to a winery or other location on your itinerary, we will rebook you to another winery or location that is appropriate. Also, the majority of wineries are closed on Sunday's--though some very good ones are open--so if one of your wine tour days falls on a Sunday, we will adjust your winery visits accordingly, or we can schedule differnet activities.
